A little bit about me ......

As a child growing up I always had a great love for all animals. We owned dogs and I just adored spending time with them, grooming etc.

My first love really were horses, I spent most of my teenage years working at a farm in return for riding. I enjoyed hunting, show jumping and cross country. I decided that this is what I wanted to concentrate on when I left school so I went to train at a nearby livery/competition yard.

I did a fair amount of teaching but decided that my love was really in the grooming and caring side for the horses.

I moved on to a top level event yard for a season travelling to top class events then I went on to run my own hunting yard which I just loved.

The children then came along and then so did my German Shepherds.

I had never owned this breed before but I was immediately smitten, what loyal and trustworthy dogs this breed were!

They make fantastic family pets and the complete devotion they have for you cannot even be described.

I always say to everybody that once you have owned a German shepherd, you will always own a German shepherd-what a fabulous breed.

I started off with my beloved Codie whom I rescued, and together, once the trust had come, we competed very successfully in obedience and agility competitions, she was devoted to me and the feeling was mutual. It was at this point that I started teaching obedience.

My first puppy then came along Jake. I wanted a working boy and found a wonderful breeder called Eleanor Mestraud -Wolfhart German Shepherd dogs-her pups are extremely successful in working trials and in the obedience ring.

Jake had such a funny sense of humour at times though, there were flashes of pure brilliance and then when the mood didn’t take him, he "forgot" everything :) My youngest son was only a baby when Jake arrived and his temperament was just the best ever. Both Codie and Jake completely idolised the children.

Jake was really my start to the breeding side of things, we decided to have him hip scored - 3:3 and he went on to sire a few fabulous litters.

My affix was then granted-Fly comes from Codie's registered name -Danetre Flyer & Hart comes from Jake's registered name - Wolfhart Remarkable Lad.

I then decided once my children had got a little older to start my dream of breeding this wonderful breed-my aim is to produce healthy, happy puppies that can give you as much enjoyment over the years that I have been blessed with-to find out more about our puppies please visit the Flyhart puppies page.

Flyhart German shepherds are not a kennel-all my beloved dogs live in the home with me as part of my family; I wouldn’t have it any other way.

My dogs enjoy a variety of different activities including showing etc-together we do have so much fun!!

Visitors are always welcome-temperament is absolutely paramount here at Flyhart, my dogs speak for themselves, they love visitors :)
