Flyhart Puppies ..........

Here at "Flyhart" we pride ourselves in the fact that we produce happy, confident, healthy and extremely well socialized puppies. The health and happiness of our dogs and puppies are of upmost importance and we only breed from dogs who have fabulous temperaments and are extremely healthy. All my dogs are KC registered and hipscored and the stud dogs that i choose to go to my girls will have the same requirements, all stud dogs are also haemophilia tested. My aim here is not just to compliment my girls but to improve on the lines that i have every time. All my puppies are whelped and reared within my very busy family home so are very well accustomed to the usual household noises - radios, washing machines, hoovers etc. They are socilaized with other dogs, people, children and even firework noises before coming into your home, when the are old enough they can explore and play in the garden everyday which of course they love !! Once the pups leave my home at 8 weeks the socializaion then becomes your job and i cannot stress highly enough how important this job is in order to have a happy, confident dog.I will be "on-hand" to help you every step of the way and can help you find good training schools to take your pup/dog to. All my puppies leave with their KC registration papers, full pedigree, contract, copies of the parents health certificates, feeding guide,socializaion/training guide,a bag of top quality puppy food and are fully wormed to date with Drontal puppy, microchipped and insured with petplan insurance. My pups are all weaned on a top quality complete biscuit and a variety of raw meat. All my puppies registration papers are endorsed with the following: " R " - Progeny not eligible for registration " X" - Not eligible for export pedigree All my puppies are bred as loving, family pets first and foremost,if you would like to breed from your dog then please discuss this with me during our initial contact,i will only lift the "R " endorsement for responsible breeders who have the same ethics as myself and that have this fabulous breeds health and welfare as their first priority. I am available to help and advise you throughout your dogs life-this i class as my upmost responsibility. If at anytime your circumstances change and you are unable to keep your pup or dog then they must be returned to me in the first instance-this is to ensure that no Flyhart dog ever ends up in rescue kennels. My aim here at " Flyhart " is to give you as much joy that i have had since owning German Shepherds-and dont forget to have fun along the way !! References from previous, very happy "Flyhart" puppy owners can be supplied. We welcome visitors to come and meet us and our beloved dogs before making any decisions-we will make you feel most welcome :) Please so not hesitate to call me on 01327 315204 for details of any up and coming litters or planned matings. If i am unable to help at that time,i can point you in the right direction of responsible breeders whom i recommend totally. Philippa

WHAT IS A BREEDER?

A Breeder (with a capital 'B') is one who thirsts for knowledge and never

really knows it all, one who wrestles with decisions of conscience,

convenience, and commitment.

A Breeder is one who sacrifices personal interests, finances, time,

friendships, fancy furniture and deep pile carpeting. She give up the dreams

of a long, luxurious cruise in favor of turning that all important Show into

this years "vacation".

The Breeder goes without sleep (but never without coffee) in hours spent

planning a breeding or watching anxiously over the birth process, and

afterwards, over every little sneeze, wiggle or cry.

The Breeder skips dinner parties because that litter is due and the babies

have to be fed at eight. She disregards birth fluids and puts mouth to mouth

to save a gasping newborn, literally blowing life into a tiny, helpless

creature that may be the culmination of a lifetime of dreams.

A Breeders lap is a marvelous place where generations of proud and noble

champions once snoozed.

A Breeders hands are strong and firm and often soiled, but ever so gentle

and sensitive to the thrusts of a puppy's wet nose.

A Breeders back and knees are usually arthritic from stooping, bending and

sitting in the birthing box, but are strong enough to enable the Breeder to

show the next choice pup to a Championship.

A Breeders shoulders are stooped and often heaped with abuse from

competitors, but they're wide enough to support the weight of a thousand

defeats and frustrations.

A Breeders arms are always able to wield a mop, support an armful of

puppies, or lend a helping hand to a newcomer.

A Breeders ears are wondrous things, sometimes red (from being talked about)

or strangely shaped (from being pressed against a phone receiver, often deaf

to criticism, yet always fine-tuned to the whimper of a sick puppy.

A Breeders eyes are blurred from pedigree research and sometimes blind to

her own dog's faults, but they are never so keen to the competitions faults

and are always searching for the perfect specimen.

A Breeders brain is foggy on faces, but it can recall pedigrees faster than

an IBM computer. It is so full of knowledge that sometimes it blows a fuse.

It catalogues thousands of good bonings, fine ears and perfect heads… and

buries in the soul the failures and the one that didn't turn out.

The Breeders heart is often broken, but it beats strongly with hope

everlasting… and it's always in the right place" Oh, yes, there are breeders

and then, there are BREEDERS!!
